Catherine Kanellopoulou is an educator/teacher, author, researcher and editor. She graduated from the Arsakeion High School in Patras in 1984 with High Honors. She studied at the Northeast Surrey College of Technology (1984-1986) in the United Kingdom. She is a graduate of the Department of English Literature of the University of Athens (1992, High Honors) and the Department of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) (1992). In 2021 he was declared a Doctor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University. She served as Director of Studies for Linguaphone Athens SA, where she has been a teacher trainer in English language teaching, an author of educational materials, Assistant Director of Studies and Director of Studies as well as the organizer of educational conferences. Since 1997, she has been an author and editor for Oxford University Press (OUP). She has been a collaborator of the British Council of Athens in the exams department for a number of years. She was member of staff at the Educational Training Center of the Commercial Bank of Greece from 1999 until 2003, when the Center was closed. She has been a member of staff of ICON Consulting lecturing on business and technical terminology. She is an active member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and of TESOL, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Greece.
Catherine Kanellopoulou has authored and edited more than twenty eight works (books, handbooks, courseguides, grammar books etc) on the English language, terminology, teaching methodology, course planning, translations etc. She has been a research contractor in more than seven European projects (since 1999, to date) on internet databases (ΘΡΑΝΙΟ-ΕΡΕΤ ΙΙ), evaluation of foreign language skills (LEONARDO DA VINCI), interactive networks (LEONARDO DA VINCI), safety in the work environment (ADAPT), awareness raising and contact of the thirteen European languages (EU COUNT 13), translation and adaptation of ROCKS (Road Costs Knowledge System) (structures costing system), research and editing of the digital library of the Techincal Chamber of Greece (2015-2016). She has also been a member of a number of actions at COST (European Cooperation of Science and Technology) since 2016.
